Cruise on Fred. Olsen's Boudicca
Rugged & Rural Canada
After spending the night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Princes Dock, Liverpool, we depart for a cruise across the Atlantic on Saturday, May 14th
Our first night on board is in Cabin 5001 on Main Deck
before we are upgraded to 7016 on Lido Deck
The Boudicca's first port of call is
Killybegs in Ireland where we take
a scenic coastal drive that includes
a stop for an Irish coffee
The Boudicca takes four days
to cross to Newfoundland. We get
our exercise by circling the ship
on Deck 7, which passes the
balcony of our cabin
Approaching Newfoundland,
we spot our first iceberg
Boudicca arrives in St John's,
Newfoundland on
Friday, May 20th
Sights in St John's include Signal Hill (the reception point of the first transatlantic wireless signal by Guglielmo Marconi in 1901) and the start of the trans-Canada Highway
Our third port of call is at a little bit of France off the coast of Canada: St Pierre & Miquelon
