by driving the 48-mile Trail Ridge Road

This road takes us to Forest Canyon Overlook (left);

the highest point on the road (Iceberg Pass - above);

and across the Continental Divide (below)

 

The Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway takes 3 hours, 10 minutes to climb

the 8.9 miles of track to the top of the 14,110-feet Pikes Peak, Colorado

The 1878 Hornbeck homestead is located on the

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Colorado,

an area abundant with insect and plant fossils

 

Lookout Mountain (7,377-feet) in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado.

The summit is famous for the grave site of

William Frederick 'Buffalo Bill' Cody
