After 'Sam Bradford' tells us the story of the railway's construction,
we enjoy some muffins for lunch before driving northwards into Idaho.
Before reaching Idaho Falls, we make stops at Register Rocks Historical Site (where emigrants carved their names) and Massacre Rocks State Park, where Indians attacked a party of emigrants and where trail ruts mark the passage of wagons on the Oregon Trail
Following the Snake River, we reach our overnight stay at the Best Western
Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls which overlooks Snake River and a Mormon Temple
Day 5: we continue north, initially following the Snake River (above)
before crossing into Wyoming and driving to the Grand Teton National Park
The Teton range of mountains provides some stunning views including the Teton Glacier (left and above) and across the calm water of Oxbow Bend (below)
More breathtaking views are enjoyed when we use the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram to ascend the 10,450-feet Rendezvous Mountain
