Rhodes: May/June 2022
(continued)
At the cafe near the entrance to the Acropolis we have cooling drinks as we debate whether to walk down or have a donkey ride. The
first part of the descent is on a very slippery cobbled surface, but we decide careful negotiation of this section is a better option
than getting back pain from a donkey ride. The descent is negotiated successfully and we return to our car and then drive to the hotel
for a well deserved rest.
Day 11 is another very hot day as we drive to Rhodes New Town, via the coastal road from Faliraki.
Parking is easy in the harbour area, which we explore, before continuing into the Old Town.
In the Old Town, we revisit the cafe where we had drinks a few days ago before deciding to walk the city wall - only to find that
the wall is not open on a Sunday.
