Lagomar is better known as 'Omar Sharif's house' as a result of a story that he purchased the house (at an early stage in its construction) but lost it within 24 hours as a result of a gamble made whilst playing bridge.

 

 The architect for the project was Jesus Soto, a Lanzaroteño who worked on numerous projects alongside Cesar Manrique, whose photograph is displayed in the house (right).

Lagomar incorporates a water tunnel with stepping stones.
