Lanzarote and Fuerteventura: November 2023
For our seventh stay in Lanzarote - we again stay at the Hotel Costa
Calero in Puerto Calero. Flying with Jet2 from Birmingham, our holiday is from November 9th to 23rd.
As with our visit in February, we are staying in Suite 559; on this occasion we find fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine
The construction of the shopping complex near the hotel appears to have made little progress, but the views from the room's balcony
remain as enchanting as ever
On our early exploration to reacquaint ourselves with Puerto Calero, we note that the water taxi that goes to and from Puerto del
Carmen is still running -
we use it later in the holiday
In Playa Blanca, we pause for coffee before walking the promenade to the marina, at our usual restaurant.
The following
day, we visit the large market at Teguise
Bessie - a statue in Teguise that pays hommage to The Ranchos de Ánimas, a group of people who sang and danced to collect money so
that a religious charity could look after the poor.
