Our final stop on our tour bus is at the docks where our luggage is dropped off, but this is not where we board the MS Oosterdam, as a shuttle bus transports us to where the ship (our accommodation for the next 14 nights) is berthed. We are soon in our well appointed and comfortable cabin (Number 5106)

As with many of the buildings we have passed on our bus tour,

there are some well drawn murals on the dockside buildings,

as well as a welcome sign

Our cabin boy, Eko, introduces himself before we set off to briefly explore the ship and get tea and coffer on Deck 9 in the swimming pool area. We then go to the spa to confirm Jeanette's hair appointments. We then go back to the cabin to unpack before having our evening meal in The Lido Market - this is a 'canteen' style buffet, but the food is good. We talk to an Argentinean who has spent the day tuning the ship's four pianos. In our cabin, via the TV (as we have not yet got to grips with the Holland America app), we book an excursion for tomorrow. Our final hot drinks are consumed in the Explorations Cafe on Deck 10

We are up at 6am in order to be on time for our excursion that has a reporting time of 8:25am. We again eat in the Lido and find that prunes are available for breakfast, as well as cooked-to-order omelettes

Our excursion is called "The Spirit of Buenos Aires and a Boat Ride". We report to the theatre to find it crowded and somewhat chaotic as many of the passengers seem unable to follow the simple instructions relating to boarding the tour buses. We are on 'Bus 15', but this arrives late and we eventually depart 30-minutes late. Our first stop is at San Isidro where we are able to visit the cathedral
