and historical figures on its roofline.

Entrance to the Zwinger Palace from Theaterplatz.
The Zwinger is a palatial complex with gardens (under reconstruction at the time of our visit) that is one of the most important buildings
of the Baroque period in Germany. Its richly decorated pavilions testify to the splendour of the reign of Augustus the Strong. During
our visit here, the forty famous porcelain bells (made at the Meissen factory) chime the quarter hour.
