In the Footsteps of David Livingstone: June 2019
(continued)
After two nights choosing from the hotel's a la carte menu, for our final night at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge we eat at the nearby Boma Dinner and Drum Show. The barbecue and buffet food includes the opportunity to eat a Mopane Worm.
June 11th: we depart the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and travel by bus to the Chobe Safari Lodge in Botswana. In addition to the variety of animals we have seen on our safaris, we have seen many species close to the hotel and at its waterhole: these include Trumpeter Hornbills; Monkeys; Elephants; Warthogs; Mongooses; and Water Buffalo.

The approximate 60-mile journey from Victoria Falls to Kasane in Botswana is accomplished in two buses, with a change of vehicle at the border. With two sets of Immigration procedures, the whole journey takes two hours, mostly on a road with very little traffic.
