Lanzarote: November 2021
(continued)
Salinas de Janubio: Installed since our last visit to Lanzarote are statues commemorating the work of the salineros and salineras
who once provided the island's residents with salt.
The road from Salinas de Janubio to Los Hervideros, where the waves crash into caves is closed, but nevertheless, the wind and surf
provides spectacular views of the coast.
At Mirador del Rio, Lanzarote's most famous viewpoint at the northernmost point of the island, the weather is perfect for views
across to the neighbouring island of La Graciosa.
As we depart the Hotel Costa Calero,
the staff are commencing to install
Christmas decorations, including
lots of poinsettias.
